Event description
Sympathia – The Thousand Voices of the Gamba
One instrument – a thousand voices. Temperament meets sensitivity in a dramatic solo journey across almost 200 years, from Versailles to London and beyond. From enchanting, intimate resonance to fire, groove, and drama – different worlds of gamba repertoire, with Bach heard through the gamba´s voice, told as one story. Sympathia is sympathetic correspondence: when sound and body “catch” each other, acoustically and emotionally, and resonance happens in every sense.
